Why are some wrestling fans so angry with The Rock?

I've read a lot of answers on here and it seems that there's a certain level of resentment towards The Rock. Why? Is it because he's making movies? Other wrestlers have done that - Hogan, Piper, Cena, even Edge just to name a few. Is it because The Rock has been more successful than the others? What's your take?

I think most people just really miss seeing him every week. I know I do! He's been incredibly successful in his new career and I'm happy for him. The other wrestlers you mentioned have tried their hands at acting without the results Dwayne Johnson has achieved. If they'd have gotten the roles DJ has gotten, I'd doubt we'd see much of them in the ring, either.In the end, I guess it's just hard for some people to let go of someone they really like and watch them move on to something else. For my part, I'll watch his movies AND my DVDs of his old matches & promos. That's the best of both worlds.
